SAINT VIVIAN - Patron Saint of Hangovers

Protector of hangover sufferers and torture victims.

Saint Vivian had a brief and tragic life. After she refused to become a prostitute, she was sent to a mad house and eventually beaten to death. Herbs grew in a garden over her grave that cured headaches and epilepsy.

Prayer to Assist with a Nasty Hangover

O mericiful St. Vivian, I ask that you relieve my nausea, soothe my aching head and calm my upset stomach. I also ask that you protect me from any loud noises or bright lights and provide me with the sense to avoid further episodes of excessive imbibing. Amen
