Horse Head Mask receives presidential handshake

Why yes, these are photos of President Obama shaking hands with someone wearing one of our Horse Head Masks. This awesomely surreal moment occurred on Tuesday night, July 8, 2014, as the President was greeting people along the streets of downtown Denver, CO.

Proving once again that there’s no telling where our Horse Head Mask might show up next, the photo above was taken by Jewel Samad and the one below by New York Times photographer Doug Mills.

Of course, it didn’t take long for The Internets to react in hilarious fashion, which is how we arrive at this amazing third photo.:

For that special couple: Unicorn and Horse Wedding Cake Topper

Spring is finally starting to creep into the air, which means wedding season is also approaching. Our new Horse and Unicorn Wedding Cake Topper is perfect for that “special” couple that wants their wedding to be a wee bit different. This 6-1/4″ tall polystone cake topper features our Magical Unicorn Mask and Creepy Horse Mask on a bride and groom. (The bride and/or groom may be blushing, but it’s hard to tell because of the masks.)

Max and Whitney Losee shared a picture of their awesome wedding cake with us:

Does anyone have a reason why these two should not be married? Neigh!

[Special thanks to Max and Whitney Losee for letting us use a picture of their beautiful cake!]

World Toilet Day

Today, November 19th, is World Toilet Day. It’s a day dedicated to spreading awareness about improving the lives of the estimated 2.5 billion people in the world who do not have access to sustainable sanitation or clean toilets. If you’ve ever encountered a nasty restroom then you should understand the importance of this issue.

But getting people in the West to appreciate toilets takes a little bit of savvy marketing, says Garvey Chui, a representative for Toilet Hackers. “We aim to make these hugely important issues relevant and sexy,” he told CNN. “For many Westernized travelers — particularly for many women travelers, no matter how well-seasoned — sanitation and access to clean toilets becomes a serious consideration when traveling, but for those without access to safe, clean and private toilets and sanitation, it is more than an inconvenience, it can be life or death.”

World Toilet Day is the perfect opportunity to remind you about our Public Toilet Survival Kit. This kit has everything you need to have a tidy potty experience packed neatly in a reusable tin container that will tuck neatly into your purse or purse. You never know when you’re going to encounter a public toilet with some cleanliness issues, so make sure you’re prepared with this:

Each kit includes one toilet seat cover, two antiseptic wipes and one pair of latex-free disposable gloves which should be enough to keep you safe and sanitary in even the most challenging conditions.

Celebrate World Toilet Day by appreciating your own fancy toilet and preparing for possible encounters with those less fancy (and possibly downright disgusting) toilets by stocking up on Public Toilet Survival Kits and Emergency Toilet Seat Covers:

They’re both perfect for care packages and stocking stuffers. What better way to show your loved ones that you’re really looking out for them? Never be afraid of a public bathroom again!

They say dogs and their owners often look alike…

When our friend Linda Lombardi got her pug, Lilly, to pose in pug slippers, she took what ended up being one of the most stolen pictures on the internet:

When she recently got her hands on our new Pug Mask, she couldn’t stop herself from recreating her own famous photo:

As you can clearly see from the delightful family portrait below, both Rose and Lilly seem very accepting of their new pug/human hybrid owner:

It appears that our Pug Mask just received the official Pug Seal of Approval.

Neighborhood Watch

A pair of our Giant Googly Eyes have been installed in front of a home in Snohomish County, Washington. They make a great addition to the town’s Neighborhood Watch group. Skulking scoundrels are sure to think twice about getting up to no good on a street where even the shrubbery is watching them.

In praise of the Pigeon Mask

We created a new blog to celebrate our Pigeon Mask and the awesome people who choose to wear it, making the world a more fun and interesting place.

Cats love it!

We’d like to share a few recent sightings of one of our favorite products, the Inflatable Unicorn Horn for Cats. Cat’s love it!

The fun began when Redditor Alterx shared this fantastic photo:

Which prompted Redditor k41y17 to share a photo of her own cat clearly enjoying his/her own fabulous Inflatable Unicorn Horn:

A short while later Redditor iCareMuch shared a photo of their cat wearing the horn too:

Can you believe just how much these cats are enjoying themselves?
But wait, there’s more!

As if that trio of unicorn kitty photos wasn’t great enough, we then spotted this awesome sticker in the Hawthorne District of Portland, OR:

Do not provoke the neon unicorn kitty. He’s busy being awesome.

(Unfortunately we don’t know the name of the artist responsible for making this fantastic piece of adhesive street art, but we love it all the same.)

So there you have it. Uni-cats are popping up all over the place and we couldn’t be happier about it. Stay tuned for future sightings of the Inflatable Unicorn Horn for Cats.

Doctor Who and the Emergency Bowtie

While watching the most recent and quite excellent episode of Doctor Who we couldn’t help but notice that the Doctor seems to shop at Archie McPhee

During the the bit where he chose his new clothes, he pulled out an Emergency Bowtie and then proceeded to save the Earth. How awesome is that?

We’re hoping he has some Emergency Googly Eyes in there as well. You know, for reasons.

Jim’s Bag of Broken Candy

Jim the Graphic Designer was shocked when he saw we were throwing out broken candy. “What a waste,” he said, “broken candy tastes the same as unbroken candy! It’s a little harder to eat when it’s in pointy shards, but so what?” Then Jim had an idea, why not sell it to less discriminating customers?

So now Jim goes out and collects all the broken candy and puts it into plastic bags. You get two pounds of candy for $7.23 and Jim sleeps better at night, secure in the knowledge that all that sugar has found a loving home.

This candy might be broken, but it’s still completely delicious. So what do you say, are you ready to provide a hungry home to a bag of orphaned sweets?
