I wonder where that pocket protector came from? Sometimes when we order things the factory includes of few of something from another customer’s order. That sounds like a one off! I’ll ask around and see if anyone remembers.

Sometime in the 90′s I purchased a pocket protector. Most of them had the traditional slugs, etc, but I purchased the only one with a slogan, “Glutinous with Self-Approbation”. Over two moves, I eventually lost track of it, but one night very late I was watching Alfed Hitchcocks’s “Frenzy”, and one policeman turned to the other and said “I’m simply glutinous with self-approbation!” I ran around the house shouting “It’s my pocket protector!” No one was very impressed. I have searched to this day to find another, to no avail.(sigh) Keep up the good work of providing the products we never knew we needed but now can’t live without.

I agree — I miss Gumapalooza SOOO much!!! It was the only place you could get such a great variety of novelty gums — it was fabulous. After i gave birth my husband tried to order one for me, but Archie had quit selling it. I was heartbroken, and still look for it whenever I order, just in case ….

Ah, old catalogs.

I miss the Gumapalooza the most. It’s the very first gift I ever sent to my at-the-time long-distance girlfriend.
