Well, Mark, it's no small consolation that you are in good company with people who would undoubtedly share your views and indignation. People such as Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, Henry David Thoreau, and George Orwell. It's sometimes downright scary to contemplate a possible future that may be even more austere and soulless than the one described in "1984." Perhaps more people should turn to our Founding Fathers and read some of their wit and wisdom regarding tyranny and the establishment of our Constitution to ensure our continuing freedoms. They understood how easily freedom could be lost and our liberties vanish if we neglect to keep a watchful eye on them. As Thoureau said, "That Government is best which governs least."

Wow. I'm supposed to be up at this God awful hour looking for investors for a start-up medical device company in Washington seeking seed capital.

One thing led to another, I saw squirrel underpants somehow, and I ended up at your blog.

Sounds like I need some of my good ol' fair trade coffee. Now I'm creeped out that it may have microscopic dissolvable cameras in it that Hardee Har Harbucks and the government will route into my bloodstream through the coffee and subsequently into my brain to control my thoughts and screw me out of my money somehow.

Thanks for keeping me on my toes (and on my hiney laughing!)
All the best,
Heather Ali
